Sourcing, benchmarks, corrections and disclosure.
Retention metrics and campaign results are taken from named platform reports, published datasets or merchant case studies, and are linked at the bottom of each article with the date we checked them. We do not print numbers we cannot source.
Benchmark articles state their sample composition, collection method and time window. Historical values are never edited retroactively; corrections are appended with a date.
Flow teardowns are based on real emails and messages we received or built. Where a real range exists (for example, repeat purchase rates that vary by vertical), we publish the range and the assumptions, not a single invented number.
Errors are corrected in the article with a dated note. Request a correction at desk@theretentionist.com.
Some links may earn the publication a commission. Commissions never decide what we cover or how tools rank; recommendations follow the published numbers.
